COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
While there are many types of interactions on So.lv, here are some basic guidelines to having a successful interaction:
Tips to having successful interaction on So.lv:
- Read reviews
- Look at each other's social media (i.e. check credentials on LinkedIn)
- Ask for testimonials or references
- Break up payments (i.e. 25% down, 50% half-way, and 25% upon completion)
To be an effective Solver:
- Use FaceTime or Skype to remotely troubleshoot
- Be specific. (Instead of "World History", list Magna Carta or French Revolution).
To be an effective Seeker:
- Use So.lv for things that can't be searched (services, advice, complicated issues)
- Be patient for your Solver to respond (the best solvers don't always respond first)
Tips to insure your safety:
- Cardinal rule- you are never obligated to do anything you feel uncomfortable with.
- Speak on the phone before sending money, or meeting in-person.
- When meeting in-person, meet in a public place.
